Phonics baskets

Put a letter as a label on different baskets / bowls and get children to find objects around the house that start with that letter. So, in the P basket you might have pens, Playdoh, pine cones etc.

Punctuation sticks

Get children to make different punctuation (question marks, full stops, etc.) and then write out sentences that require different punctuation sticks.

Word matching

Gather items from around the house and write out what they are on a large sheet. Get the children to match the physical item to the written word.
